Our History [tldr]
We established APT57 in 2012. Since then, we have continued to resell extremely cool and rare items — for style-conscious individuals, whom possess incredibly great taste.
With that aside, we operate our business with a high level of integrity and standards, most importantly recognising the first principles of all good business relationships, with the primary of those being communication — which, in our view is key.
As such, we are committed to keeping you well informed throughout the process from start to finish – communicating everything from evaluation through to payments and/or item collections.
We also appreciate how important, in this day and age – common privacy and anonymity is.
At APT57 your privacy and anonymity is paramount to us, and respected at all times.
By utilising APT57’s services, you can rest assured that selling your items is easy and absolutely effortless for you.
Our only requirements are;
A) your items are authentic,
B) are of impeccable condition and,
C) freshly cleaned.
Then, all you have to do is — pop in and introduce yourself and your items. We will take a look and if acceptable, present them to the public for you. It’s a no fuss exercise… Reselling your Luxury items couldn’t be made any easier.
Before You Visit Us;
← APT57 does not clean or restore items. We will respectfully decline any item which are deemed to need either or.
→ Please ensure all items are fault free, santitised and sale ready; dry cleaned or freshly wash and ironed, then hung on a non-returnable hanger or packed neatly in a non-returnable bag.
Avoid presenting these;
Items Not Considered…
← Any item with defect, damage or augmentation of any sort.
← Soiled, aged or discoloured clothing. It is essential that items are freshly laundered and pressed or dry cleaned prior to presentation.
← Hand Bags with dust, fluff, debris, lip stick, make-up and biro marks. Brush down and vacuum items inside and out prior to presentation.
← Sunglasses with scratched lenses or frame damage of any sort will not be accepted. Most commonly – bite marks on frame arms.
← Accessories which are tarnished, aged or dirty. Please clean or polish prior to presentation.
We Consider;
What Our Customers Want;
→ Authentic luxury/designer garments, shoes and accessories of international origin.
← Unfortunately, we do not accept Australian labels.
When Our Customers Want It;
→ Summer Items – September to February.
→ Winter Items – March to August.
Resale – How Does It Work?
In a nut shell – we present and resell your items for you, to our clientele on a by-sale commission basis.
→ Throughout this process, you retain ownership of your items.
→ We showcase and promote your items for the agreed Sales Period.
← At the end of the term any unsold items are made ready for collection.
Handbags;
→ Should be sale ready in immaculate condition, damage free and sanitised prior to presentation. Vintage items not preferred.
→ All Hand Bags must be supplied with original purchase records. Or otherwise – respectfully declined.
→ Include original packaging and all accessories where possible. ie. dust-bags, cases or boxes.
Resale Evaluations;
When
Items can be bought to the store between Monday and Saturday from 11am until 3pm and left with us in order to provide an obligation free evaluation, which are conducted between Mon and Thur.
How
Regular items [of less than $1000 resale value] are required to be left with us for 24 to 48hrs to be processed for pricing.
Higher value items are required to be left with us for 48 to 72hrs in order for us to conduct an inspection, authentication and evaluation prior to a quote being issued.
Please note, we evaluate each of your items considering their condition and, the current value they hold within the resale marketplace.
Following that, we issue an appraisal of your items via email, which includes;
→ The items competitive market value.
→ Your possible return less APT57’s commission fee.
If Agreeable;
→ We provide a resale agreement.
→ You provide us with a few particulars. Required – mobile, email and postal address.
→ Items are then showcased for 60 days.
If You Choose To Decline;
← That’s absolutely fine. We ready your items for their immediate collection.
