Once Worn, Now What?
The other day I was chatting to a friend who had just gotten back from overseas, as we stood in her kitchen she started opening her mail. Instead of just a pile of bills as one normally gets on the return of a vacation, she was pleasantly surprised to find a couple of fairly healthy cheques in the mail, her proceeds from some designer clothing left on consignment.
Now, recycled clothing stores had not really been on my radar .I know they are around and have visited them very occasionally but this conversation really got me thinking. In these times where we are maybe trying to save a buck it is well worth putting them on the top of the places to visit when out on a shopping excursion.
Mind
you these stores are not just your average, most only take imports in very good
condition, you can be lucky and snag some amazing buys.
So last Saturday I decided to pay a visit to the recycled stores I know where
the stock is top notch.
Appartamento 57 stocks an amazing variety of beautiful imported garments, this is one store you can spend hours rummaging through the racks. Venture out the back and you will find a wonderful collection of home wares that will inspire. The great thing about high end recycled stores are that stock is merchandised correctly and there is order. Not like some awful stores at sale time.
